James Scowcroft is due to be in Leicester tomorrow to continue talks with Peter Taylor. Earlier there were reports of a hitch but this now seems to have been overcome. |

Marcus Stewart last night failed to emulate John Wark as a PFA Award winner when Teddy Sheringham carried off the prize. Stewart failed even to make the divisional XI with Thierry Henry and Sheringham the chosen strikers. Wark won the award in 1981, the last time a Town player was nominated. |

Town will see themselves as very unfortunate to have come out of this game without even a point. Despite rarely playing at their best the Blues were the better side for most of the game. Town went ahead through Alun Armstrong halfway through the first half, but two Julian Joachim goals in the second half gave Villa the three points. |
